Section 1242(a) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(a)An application for an advance shall be made in Bengal Form No. 2639 (B. P. Form No. 235). Heads of offices are empowered to sanction advances under rule 15(3)(b) of the General Provident Fund (Bengal Services) Rules to all officers of and below the rank of Deputy Superintendent. Advances under rule 15(3)(a) of these rules may be sanctioned only by the Inspector-General and Deputy Inspectors-General. Superintendents shall therefore refer such cases to the Deputy Inspector-General for sanction.
