Section 76(1) in Maharashtra Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1966
(1)Chemical extinguishers of an approved type and of at least 13.5 litres capacity shall be provided in such numbers as the licensing authority may from time to time direct and shall be placed on brackets 1.20 m. from the ground. Directions for using them shall in all cases be prominently painted on the extinguisher or on a card placed over the extinguisher and the attention of the public shall be directed to them by placards legibly printed or painted and fixed immediately above them :Provided that, nothing in this rule shall apply to touring cinemas and to premises duly licensed for use for cinematograph exhibition before the coming into force of these Rules.
