Section 1262(c) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(c)(i)When the District Engineer prepares plans and estimates, the District Board concerned will be paid by the Police Department 2½ per cent, on the cost of the whole building.(ii)When the District Engineer does not prepare plans and estimates himself, but after consultation accepts them entirely and afterwards merely supervises the construction of the building, the District Board concerned will be paid by the Police Department 2½ per cent, on the cost of the whole building, from which they are permitted to pay any sum not exceeding 1½ per cent, of the total cost of the building to the District Engineer and his subordinates according to such distribution as may be decided upon by the Chairman,
