(3)Removal, Storage and utilisation of overburden, etc.(a)Every' holder of a quarry lease/quarry permit shall take steps so that the overburden, waste rock, rejects and fines generated during quarrying or during sizing shall be stored in separate dumps;(b)The dumps shall be properly secured and shall be suitably terraced and stabilised through vegetation or otherwise;(c)Wherever possible, the waste rock, over burden etc. shall be back filled into the quarry' excavations with a view to restoring the land to its original use as far as possible;(d)The fines shall be so deposited and disposed that they are not allowed to flow away and cause land degradation or damage to agricultural fields, pollution of surface water bodies or cause floods.
