In the instant case, the Commission suggests the Complainant the PIO to forthwith provide the
missing information to the Complainant by or before 15 th December 2010. The PIO is also directed to
provide inspection of the relevant files/records in case the Complainant so desires.

Background
1. The Applicant filed an RTI application dated 02.02.2010 before the National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology[NIFFT], Hatia, Ranchi seeking information against six points regarding Medical facilities to pensioners of NIFFT, particularly the reimbursement of medical claim of his wife pending since 20.05.2003 with NIFFT, Ranchi as per normal medical rules i.e. CSMA1944. The PIO replied vide letter dated 08.03.2010 providing point wise reply alongwith supportive annexures against three points, taking time to collect the information against the second query.
2. The Applicant sent a reminder dated 18.03.2010 to the PIO finding the response dated 08.03.2010 incomplete. The response from the PIO was received on 30.04.2010. However the Applicant found the response irrelevant and hence filed a First Appeal on 11.05.2010. In response to the Appeal, another response dated 30.06.2010 was sent to the Applicant.
3. Being still aggrieved with the response of the Public Authority, the Applicant approached the Central Information Commission on 20.07.2010. The application has been registered as a Complaint by the Commission under provisions of the RTI Act 2005. Decision
3. Upon perusal of the documents of the case, it is evident that the PIO has not provided complete information as sought by the Applicant. Therefore, the Commission directs the PIO to forthwith provide the missing information to the Complainant by or before 15th December 2010. In the event, that the Complainant is still dissatisfied with the information so provided, he may seek inspection of the relevant file/ records and the PIO, National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology[NIFFT], Hatia, Ranchi is directed to cooperate with the Complainant in the inspection of the file/s.
4. The case is disposed on the above terms.
