8. Rewards for assisting in firefighting and rescue operations:
- On receipt of specific recommendations from subordinate officers to be made out on plain paper, for giving rewards in firefighting and rescue operations to persons who give timely information regarding occurrence of fires and to those who effectively assist fire services on occasions of fire. The Director General of Fire Services shall examine the recommendation and issue rewards not exceeding rupees two thousand on any specific occasion.
