Section 14(1) in The Techno India University, West Bengal, Act, 2012.
(1)The Academic Council of the University shall consist of the following members, namely:-(i)the Vice-Chancellor of the University, ex officio, who shall be the Chairman of the Academic Council;(ii)two academicians or professionals to be nominated by the Board;(iii)two external academicians or professionals in the area of higher education, to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;(iv)two Deems of the University, by rotation to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;(v)one Professor from each discipline of the University, by rotation to be nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;(vi)the Administrator of the University;(vii)the Registrar who shall be the non-member Secretary of the Council.
