Section 481 in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943

481. Production of prisoners before the Sessions Judge. [§ 12, Act V 1861].

- The Court Police shall produce prisoners committed to the Sessions and property connected with Sessions cases before the Court of Sessions on the dates fixed for trial. Where the Sessions is not held in the district of commitment, the Court officer of the district of commitment shall send all the property required to be produced before the Court to the Court officer of the district where the trial is to be held, and communicate to him the date fixed by the Judge for the trial of each case. The latter officer shall be responsible for the production of the prisoners and properties in such cases in the same way as if they had been committed from his district. The Superintendent of the committing district shall take steps to have the Public Prosecutor properly briefed.
