When, in the course of proceedings in a Criminal Court, it becomes necessary to refer to the contents of records deposited in another court, the ordinary procedure is to require copies of the necessary papers to be filed. It frequently happens, however, that in the course of a criminal trial the production of an original record becomes necessary. In such cases the Court where the record is deposited shall comply with the requisition of the Criminal Court even though the reasons given for the production of the original record may be considered insufficient.
