ORDER
1. The Appellant filed an RTI application dated 21.07.2022 seeking information on the following points:
(i) Is there any charge for getting passbook entry in PNB Bank, and if so, how much is the charge.
(ii) If a customer is not able to get his passbook printed for the last 2 years due to some reason (like Corona), will he have to pay any charge?
(iii) Is there any limit for UPI transactions in an account, if so how much, and if the limit is exceeded, will the bank take any charge for entering its passbook?
(iv) Is there any charge for taking the statement of account, if so, how much is it?Page 1 of 3
(v) When the bank passbook is filled, is there any charge for taking a new one, and if so, how much has to be paid? is there any limit to get a new passbook?,.....

2. The CPIO replied vide letter dated 26.08.2022 and the same is reproduced as under :-
(i) Para No. (i), (ii), (iv) and (v) :- Information sought is available at bank's website https:// www.pnbindia.in
(ii) Para No. (iii):- Maximin number of UPI transaction permitted per day is 10 and limit amount is as follows:
• Per transaction - Rs 1 lakh • Per day - Rs 1 Lakh • Verified Merchants - Rs 2 lakh • ASBA/ Gsec - Rs. 5 lakh Therefore, no transaction beyond above mentioned limit s permissible. As such no transaction entries will exist.
3. Dissatisfied with the response received from the CPIO, the Appellant filed a First Appeal dated 28.08.2022 alleging that the information provided was incomplete. The FAA vide order dated 05.09.2022 upheld the reply given by the CPIO.
4. Aggrieved with the FAA's order, the Appellant approached the Commission with the instant Second Appeal dated Nil.
5. The appellant remained absent and on behalf of the respondent Jaseem Siddiqui, AGM(Law) along with Kunal Chauhan attended the hearing in person.
6. The respondent reiterated the contents of the reply dated 26.08.2022.
7. The Commission after adverting to the facts and circumstances of the case and perusal of records, observed that the CPIO had appropriately dealt with the RTI Page 2 of 3 application and had provided a point-wise reply to the appellant. The Commission does not find any flaw in the reply so given, hence no further action is warranted.
8. The Appeal is disposed of accordingly.
Copy of the decision be provided free of cost to the parties.
