Section 24 in The Rajasthan Dacoity Affected Areas Act, 1986
24. Presumption in respect of kidnapping and abduction
In any trial of a scheduled offence under this Act, where it is proved that-(a)the accused has kidnapped or abducted any person from dacoity affected area, it shall be presumed, unless the contrary is proved, that the accused has kidnapped or abducted such person for ransom, or(b)the accused has wrongfully concealed or confined any person kidnapped or abducted from a dacoity-affected area, it shall be presumed, unless the contrary is proved, that the accused has concealed or confined such person knowing that such person has been so kidnapped or abducted.
