Section 151(3)(a) in The Naval Ceremonial, Conditions Of Service And Miscellaneous Regulations, 1964

(a)that the medical authorities certify that the officer is capable of performing the normal ashore duties of the rank in the branch in which he is being promoted in his medical category; and
