Section 65 in University of Udaipur Teachers (Conditions of Service) Rules, 1976

65. Leave not due.

- (i) Leave 'not due' may at the discretion of the sanctioning authority, be granted on half pay to a teacher in permanent employment, only on medical certificate for a period not exceeding 180 days during his entire service. Such leave will be debited against the half pay leave which the teacher may earn subsequently.
(ii)A teacher to whom leave "not due" is granted shall not be permitted to tender his resignation from service so long as the debit balance in his leave account is not wiped off by active service, or he refunds the amount paid to him as salary for the period not so earned. Leave "not due" shall not be granted unless the sanctioning authority is satisfied that as far as can reasonably be foreseen, the teacher will return to duty on the expiry of the leave and earn the leave granted.
