Section 16 in Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2001
16. Exemption.
- The provisions of "Public Distribution System (Control) Order, 2001" shall not be applicable to the purchase, sale or storage for sale of any trade article by or on behalf of:(i)The Central Government.(ii)The State Government.(iii)The Officers, Departments, Institutions or other organisation of the . State Govt, or such agencies approved by the State Govt.(iv)Any Central or State Level Co-operative Society (except the P.D.S. shops).
