Proceedings are divided into three classes, original cases, miscellaneous judicial proceedings, and miscellaneous non-judicial proceedings. A list of miscellaneous judicial proceedings is given in Chapter 24, Rule 575, of Part IV. Proceedings of prosecution for offences against accused persons which are not classified in that list are original cases. Miscellaneous non-judicial cases are dealt with in Rule 402 (1) below.
