Section 2(i) in The Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (Procedure, Terms & Conditions for grant of Transmission License and other related matters) Regulations, 2001
(i)"License" means a transmission license granted by the Commission to construct, maintain and operate the elements of the Inter-State Transmission System under clause (1) of Section 27-C of the Act.
