Section 40(1) in Bombay Wild Animals and Wild Birds Protection Act, 1951
(1)No person shall without the permission of any of the Officers referred to in section 39 keep in his possession any Government trophy or without the permission of the Wild Life Preservation Officer or any other Officer authorised by the State Government in this behalf transfer, by gift, sale or otherwise, any Government trophy to any person.
