(8)Parapet. - Parapet walls and handrails provided on the edges of roof terraces, balcony, Verandah, etc, shall not be less than 1.0 m and not more than 1.4 m in height from the finished floor level.Note. - The above shall not apply where roof terrace is not accessible by a staircase. However, on terrace floor in the portion where installations like Diesel Generator (DG) Set, Water Tank and other, screening parapet of a suitable height may be constructed to hide such equipment's etc and there is no need to have uniformly increased the height of the parapet.
