Section 84 in The Naval Ceremonial, Conditions Of Service And Miscellaneous Regulations, 1964
84. Commodore.
- A Commodore not being the Chief of the Naval Staff or a Commander-in-Chief, when flying his board pendant, shall be received on board any of Indian Naval Ships, or on arrival at naval establishments by a guard commanded by a Lieutenant or a Sub-Lieutenant with arms presented, the officers saluting, the bugles sounding the "alert", and the band playing a salute as laid down in Regulation 93. If the band be not available, the bugles shall sound the Commodore's salute.
