Section 9(1) in The Assam Finance Service Rules, 1963
(1)A competitive examination shall be held by the Commission for direct recruitment to Class II of the Service for 50 per cent of the vacancies in a batch at such intervals and in accordance with rules of syllabus as per Schedule II.
