Section 13(1) in The West Bengal Court-Fees Act, 1970
(1)The Court, when making an inquiry under section 12 shall have, respectively, for the purposes of such inquiry or investigation, the powers vested in a Court under the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 in respect of the following matters, namely:-(a)enforcing the attendance of any person and examining him on oath or affirmation;(b)compelling the production of documents or material objections; and(c)issuing commissions for the examination of witnesses.
