 P.C. :

1 This is a composite petition challenging two charge-sheets

which are subject matters of Special Cases bearing Nos.47 of 2014 and 48 and 2014 for various offences including those under the Prevention of Corruption Act. It appears that this common petition for quashing criminal proceedings in both these special cases came avk 1/3 ::: Uploaded on - 04/02/2020 ::: Downloaded on - 05/02/2020 00:37:05 ::: 23-WP-245-2020.doc to be filed only because on earlier occasion a common petition bearing No.406 of 2018 came to be filed for quashing First Information Reports (FIRs) bearing Nos.RC3E/2006/BS&FC dated 20th February 2006 and RC4E/2006BS&FC dated 21 st February 2006. After dismissal of that Writ Petition bearing no.406 of 2018, the petitioner herein challenged the said dismissal by filing Special Leave Petition (Criminal) No.3495 of 2018 which came to be disposed off on 7th January 2020. This appears to be the cause for filing this single petition before this court. As two independent special cases are involved in this petition, the learned counsel for the petitioner submits that by making necessary amendment in the petition, he will continue this petition for the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) Special Case No.47 of 2014 and he will file separate petition so far as CBI Special Case No.48 of 2014 is concerned. Leave to amend, as prayed, is granted. 2 The learned counsel for the CBI submits that the reply drafted by her is in the process of approval by the CBI and therefore, she wants time.
