Section 17(4)(a) in Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Orissa Rules, 2002

(a)In case any resident makes any complaint or occurrence of such nature comes to the knowledge of the Officer-in-charge, a report shall be placed before the Juvenile Justice Board, who in turn, will order for special investigation. The Juvenile Justice Board shall direct the local police-station to register case against the person found guilty under the relevant section of the I.P.C.
