Section 21 in The United Provinces Private Forests Act, 1948
21. Power of Forest Settlement Officer.
- For the purposes of such inquiry the Forest Settlement Officer may exercise the following powers, that is to say-(a)power to enter, by himself or to authorise any officer to enter upon any land, and to survey, demarcate and make a map of the same; and(b)the powers of a Civil Court in the trial of suits.
