Section 24 in The Gujarat Technological University Act, 2007
24. Deans.
(1)The Deans shall be appointed by the Vice-Chancellor, from amongst the Faculties of the University.(2)The Deans shall assist the Vice-Chancellor and the respective Directors in managing the academic and other affairs of the University, colleges and centres and shall exercise such powers and perform such function as may be prescribed or entrusted to them by the Vice-Chancellor and the Director.
