Section 9(1) in The Karnataka Habitual Offenders Act, 1961
(1)The Registration of a habitual offender under this Act shall cease to bein force on the expiry of five years from the date of such registration, unless earlier cancelled by the District Magistrate for reasons to be recorded in writing. On such expiry or cancellation, the habitual offender shall cease to be a registered offender.
