- The Gram Sabha shall perform the following functions,namely;(a)mobilizing voluntary labour and contributions in kind and cash for community welfare programme;(b)identification of beneficiaries for implementation of development schemes pertaining to the village;Provided that if the Gram Sabha fails to identify the benificiaries within the reasonable time, the Prescribed Authority shall, in consultation with the Gram Panchayat, identify the beneficiaries;(c)rendering assistance in the implementation of developmental schemes pertaining to the village.
