Section 24(1) in The North Bengal University Act, 1981
(1)There shall be the following Councils for undergraduate studies:-(i)the Council for undergraduate studies in Arts, Science, Commerce and Law;(ii)the Council for undergraduate studies in Engineering and Technology;(iii)the Council for undergraduate studies in Medicine [and Dentistry] [Words inserted by W.B. Act 8 of 1993.],
