(1)As from the commencement of Part III recruited by of this Act appointments to the civil services known Secretary of State. as the Indian Civil Service, the Indian Medical Service (Civil), and the Indian Police Service (which last mentioned service shall thereafter be known as " the Indian Police ") shall, until Parliament otherwise determines, be made by the Secretary of State.
