                                                            ORDER

The Writ Petition has been filed directing the respondents to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 30.09.2024 on merits and in accordance with law, and to pass appropriate orders sanctioning seniority promotion, along with pay and allowances with interest, as claimed in the said representation.

2.The case of the petitioner is that he was appointed as an Office Assistant with effect from 01.07.1994 and was subsequently promoted to the post of Process Server, thereafter to the post of Junior Assistant and then to the post of Assistant. With effect from 03.01.2005, he was promoted to the post of Head Clerk. However, he was illegally reverted to the post of Process Server by order dated 30.06.2010. The said order of reversion was quashed in W.P No.14483 of 2010 by order dated 27.02.2011. The writ appeal in W.A.No.1643 of 2012 filed against the said order was dismissed on 13.08.2013, and the Special Leave Petition in SLP No.35694 of 2013 was also dismissed.

Prior thereto, the petitioner made a representation dated 30.09.2024 claiming service benefits based on seniority. However, the same was not considered, Hence the present writ petition has been filed.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that it would suffice, if a direction is issued to the first respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation within a reasonable time.

4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner’s representation dated 30.09.2024 on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders, within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, __________ Page 3 of 5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis ( Uploaded on: 28/01/2026 01:31:51 pm ) WP No. 50653 of 2025

5.With the above directions, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
