Section 476 in The Bombay Provincial Municipal Corporations Act, 1949
476. Signature on notices, etc. may be stamped. - (1) Every licence, written permission, notice, bill, schedule, summons or other document required by this Act or by any rule, regulation or bye-law to bear the signature of the Commissioner or of any municipal officer shall be deemed to be properly signed if it bears a facsimile of the signature of the Commissioner or of such municipal officer as the case may be, stamped thereupon.
(2)Nothing in this section shall be deemed to apply to a cheque drawn upon the Municipal Fund or upon the Transport Fund under any of the provisions of this Act, or to any deed of contract.
