                                           O R D E R

The petitioner has been convicted under Section 420 read with Section 120-B of the Indian Penal Code and Section 5 of the Tamil Nadu Protection of Interests of Depositors (TNPID) Act and has been sentenced to undergo 24 years of rigorous imprisonment. Her appeal is pending before the High Court.

Initially, the sentence was suspended and she was granted 17:56:07 IST Reason:

bail, but consequently, the order of suspension of sentence was 2 recalled.
We have been informed that the petitioner, who is the wife of the main accused, is suffering from cervical cancer. For this reason alone and on a purely humanitarian ground, we are of the view that the petitioner need not surrender till 09.06.2025 and shall appear before the court concerned on 09.06.2025 and seek suspension of sentence, which application shall be considered in accordance with law.
Till then, no coercive steps shall be taken against the petitioner.
In view of above, the Special Leave Petition is disposed of. Pending interlocutory application(s), if any, is/are disposed of.
