Section 21 in The Maharashtra Management of Irrigation Systems by Farmers Rules, 2006
21. Filling up of vacancies.
- Vacancy arising for the post of Director of Managing Committee on account of death, resignation, recall, disqualification or by any other reason, shall be filled by the Managing Committee by nomination of any of the eligible member of the concerned Water Users' Association. Such nomination shall be done within a period of forty-five days from the date of arising of such vacancy. Normally, the nomination shall be done through unanimous resolution passed in the meeting of the Management Committee. If, unanimous decision regarding filling of such vacancy is not reached, the decision shall be taken by the majority of the Directors present and voting by show of hands or by voice vote.
