Section 674(b) in Police Regulations, Bengal , 1943
(b)An application for the appointment of special police officers shall contain all the necessary particulars, of which the principal are -(i)the period for which the officers are required;(ii)the limits within which they are to be employed;(iii)the grounds for apprehending disturbance of the peace; etc., where no such disturbance has already occurred; and(iv)the reasons why the police force ordinarily employed is insufficient.
