23. [ Ventilation and temperature. [Substituted by Notification No. 4(a) 4-91-16B, dated 6-4-1995.]

(1)Limits of temperature and air movement. - In any factory the maximum wet-bulb temperature of air in a work room at a height of 1.5 meters above the floor level shall not exceed 30 degrees Celsius and adequate air movement of at least 30 meters per minute shall be provided and in relation to dry-bulb temperature, the wet-bulb temperature in the work-room at the said height shall not exceed that shown in the schedule annexed hereto, or as regards a dry-bulb reading intermediate between the two dry-bulb readings that specified in relation to the higher of these two dry-bulb readings :
