6. Admission.
(1)The University shall, subject to the provisions of this Act and the Statutes, be open to all persons who fulfill the prescribed academic standards for admission and are not below the minimum standards prescribed in this behalf.(2)The University shall admit to any course of study such number of students that can be accommodated in the faculty or college or department of the University in accordance with the directions of the Academic Council.(3)The University shall reserve such seats in a course of study for the candidates belonging to scheduled castes and scheduled tribes and the candidates from other States of India as may be determined by the Government from time to time.
