Section 36(1) in Mahatma Gandhi University Act 1985
(1)The Syndicate may of its own motion take into consideration the draft of a Statute:Provided that, in any such case, before a Statute is passed the Syndicate shall obtain and consider the opinion of the Academic Council, where necessary on academic matter.
