Section 17 in Siliguri Municipal Corporation Act, 1990
17. Appointment.
(1)The method of, and the qualifications required for, recruitment to posts of different categories constituting the establishment of the Corporation shall be such as may be prescribed.(2)Subject to the provisions of this Act, appointment to all the posts of officers and employees constituting the establishment of the Corporation shall be made by the Chief Executive Officer with the approval of the Mayor-in-Council.
