- In addition to the audit of accounts under Section 162 the Government may, if it thinks fit, appoint a person having prescribed qualifications to conduct a special audit pertaining to any specified item or series of items requiring through examination and the provisions of this Chapter relating to audit shall, mutatis-mutandis, apply to such special audit.
