Section 19(1) in The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Act, 1972
(1)The Chairman shall, when present, preside at the meetings of the Board and in his absence the Deputy Chairman shall preside at such meetings:Provided that if at any meeting of the Board the Chairman and the Deputy Chairman are both absent, the members present shall elect a member from amongst themselves to preside at that meeting.
