ADV. ADOOR PRAKASH (ATTINGAL): I would like to draw the attention of the Government towards the delay in the process of land acquisition for widening of Kazhakkuttam–Kadambattukonam stretch of National Highway 66. The National Highways Authority of India is planning the construction of Attingal bypass in my constituency as part of this stretch widening. After long waiting for years the final notification for land acquisition for this project was issued in September, 2020. Now the land owners are facing great difficulties due to delay in getting compensation for their land and properties earmarked. Many of them will lose their houses and they cannot buy or construct new house without this compensation. So, I request the Government to take immediate measures to complete the process of land acquisition of this project at the earliest.
