Section 14(1) in The Standards Of Weights And Measures Act, 1976
(1)The base unit of mass specified in section 6 and base unit of measures specified in sections 5 and sections 7 to 11 (both inclusive) and the supplementary and other units specified by rules made under section 12, shall be the standard units of weight or measure, as the case may be.
