Section 3(1) in Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority Act, 2008
(1)As soon as may be, after the commencement of the Act, the Government may, by notification declare the Hyderabad Metropolitan region consisting of such urban or rural areas as a development area for the purposes of the Act.
