Section 19(f) in Assam Science & Technology University Act, 2009
(f)to appoint from time to tune, the officers and staff of the University, and the holders of the administrative posts of the University, after considering the recommendations of the Selection Committee and other committees, as the case may be, constituted for the purpose;
