The near relative of the deceased person shall claim the body within two days of the date of death of the deceased person excluding the day on which the death takes place:Provided that, if in the opinion of the authority charge of the hospital or prison, there are good and sufficient reasons for believing that the dead body is likely to be claimed by a near relative of the deceased person, it may keep dead body in its possession for further period of two days.
