Section 3(24) in Tamil Nadu General Clauses Act, 1891
(24)[ "Prescribed".- "prescribed" shall mean prescribed by rules, regulations or bylaws made under the Act, in which the word occurs;] [The original clause (24) was omitted by the Adaptation Order of 1937 and the present clause was inserted by section 3 of, and the Second Schedule to, the Tamil Nadu Repealing and Amending Act, 1955 (Tamil Nadu Act XXXVI of 1955). In so far as this Act applies to the added territories, this clause was inserted by section 4 of, and the Second Schedule to, the Tamil Nadu (Added Territories) Extension of Laws (No. 2) Act, 1961 (Tamil Nadu Act 39 of 1961).]
