Section 295(2) in The City of Nagpur Corporation Act, 1948
(2)If the [Commissioner] [This word was substituted for the words 'Chief Executive Officer' by Bombay 79 of 1958, Section 3, Schedule.] is of opinion that the cleansing or disinfection of a building or any part thereof, of any article therein, which is likely to retain infection, will tend to prevent or check the spread of any disease, he may, by a notice require the owner or occupier to cleanse or disinfect the same in the manner and within the period to be specified in the notice.
