Section 55 in Tamil Nadu Government Servants (Conditions of Service) Act, 2016
55. Reemployment of pensioners.
- Nothing in the Act or the special rules shall be construed to limit or abridge the powers of the Government and of subordinate authorities to reemploy persons who have retired on a civil pension or gratuity or who while in service were subscribers to a Contributory Provident Fund, in any service in accordance with the provisions contained in the Tamil Nadu Pension Rules, 1978. The re-employment of such a person in any service shall not be regarded as a first appointment to that service.
