Section 65(3) in The Punjab Panchayati Raj Act, 1994
(3)If the plaintiff or defendant in any suit dies before a case has been finally decided and the right to sue still survives the suit shall subject to the provision of clause (d) of section 56 be proceeded with at the instance of, or, against the legal representatives of the deceased plaintiff or the deceased defendant, as the case may be :Provided that application in this behalf it has been presented to the Gram Panchayat within thirty days of the death or within such further period as the Gram Panchayat may, for sufficient cause allow.
