Section 61(2) in The Port Of New Mangalore Rules, 1976
(2)Every stevedore shall ensure that all loading and unloading operations shall conform in all respects to the requirements prescribed by or under the Indian Dock Labours Act, 1934 (19 of 1934 ) and are carried out with his own gear and he shall be solely responsible for any accident or damage resulting from the use of any defective gear.
